Golf Tournament

Southwest Riverside County is coming together to help fight hunger effecting our Neighbors in Need.  We are happy to announce our first ever "Fighting Hunger Golf Tournament" to be held September 26, 2020 at the Canyon Lake Country Club.  Helping Hands is requesting your support to help us reach more people in crisis than we currently do.

California Food Policy Advocates reports there our more than 100,000 "Food Insecure" adults in Riverside County and more than 34,000 actually go hungry.  Food Insecurity is when a senior must choose to pay rent or buy food, pay the utility bill or see a doctor.  It is estimated more than 20,000 miss 10 or more meals a month.

Currently our service area is in the southwest portion of Riverside County, including the cities of Temecula, Murrieta, Wildomar, Lake Elsinore, Canyon Lake, Menifee, Quail Valley, Sun City, Perris, Hemet and some unincorporated portions of Riverside County.  This service area is home to more than 70,000 people living below poverty level with more than 60,000 people exceeding 65 years of age.  Helping Hands Group serves these low-income seniors.
